When we first started working with the Archaeological and Landscape Park of Catania and the Aci Valley, the goal was to create brochures tailored to an audience of adults and families with children.
It soon became clear, however, that this work required a broader rethinking of how the Park presents itself. The graphic materials needed to fit into a wider framework that included a new visual identity, the design of editorial materials, the development of visitor signage and, at the same time, the planning of multimedia solutions for some sites, such as the Greek Theatre.
These are different areas, but they are all connected by a single vision: giving the Park a coherent and recognisable image, able to speak to contemporary audiences.
Our role was to support this process: suggesting possible directions, bringing together different skills and helping the Park build a clear narrative of its own identity.
This way of working allows us to move beyond isolated, one-off interventions, ensuring that every choice makes sense within an overall vision where digital tools, coordinated image and visitor routes work together. It is an ongoing, step-by-step collaboration that helps the institution recognise opportunities, navigate decisions and keep its enhancement goals consistent over time.
