The Municipality of Prizzi launched a project to enhance its archaeological heritage and make both the Archaeological Museum and the Hippana area more recognisable online. Hi.Stories supported the local authority with targeted consulting, identifying the “Piccoli Musei” call as the most sustainable and manageable funding opportunity in the medium term.
The work began with a direct and constructive dialogue with the Municipality, followed by the definition of project goals, the identification of priorities and the drafting of a proposal complete with an activity schedule and timeline.
The original proposal included a full set of digital tools – from a website to a virtual tour and 3D models – to increase the museum’s online visibility and improve the onsite visitor experience. After a budget revision, the project was adapted to focus on creating the new website for the Archaeological Museum of Prizzi.
The site was developed using tools that allow municipal staff to independently update sections and content. Its structure guides visitors in discovering both the museum and the archaeological area of Montagna dei Cavalli, while the graphic design reflects the new visual identity based on the name Hippana and its Punic coin. Particular attention was paid to readability, accessibility and ease of use, to ensure a clear experience for school groups as well as the local community.
Hi.Stories supported the Municipality in gathering and organising materials, managing translations and going online, providing constant guidance from concept to publication. Today, the website represents the first building block of the museum’s digital presence and a solid foundation ready to host virtual tours and 3D content when new funding opportunities become available.
